With the ODI World Cup 2023 just around the corner, the players will be focused on putting up strong performances and perhaps winning the competition.
Shadab Khan, the all-rounder for the Pakistan squad, took the spotlight to talk about the star power that the Indian team had as the team came in India for the World Cup for the first time in seven years. The 24-year-old came up and nominated Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper.

Shadab opined that he admires Rohit Sharma a lot and named him one of the most influential batters in world cricket. He also stated that Rohit is extremely difficult to bowl to.
“I admire Rohit Sharma a lot and among the leading batsmen in the world, he is the most difficult to bowl to. Once he gets set he becomes very dangerous. Among the bowlers, since I am a leg-spinner, it will be Kuldeep Yadav given his recent form,” Shadab Khan was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.

Furthermore, Shadab Khan also talked of the welcome that the Pakistan side received when they arrived in Hyderabad for their first warm-up game against New Zealand. Shadab Khan pointed out the brilliant hospitality and the tasty food that they were greeted with.
“The welcome was fantastic at the (Hyderabad) airport and also a lot of people have been thronging the team hotel and hospitality wise it’s been really good,” Shadab Khan said.

“The food has been really tasty and the support staff (all South Africans) are worried that we end up increasing our fat percentage (laughs). Hope, we get the same love in Ahmedabad where we play India (laughs),” he added.
After losing their first World Cup warm-up game against New Zealand, Pakistan will be taking on Australia in their final warm-up game on Tuesday, October 3. Furthermore, they will begin their World Cup campaign by taking on the Netherlands on Friday, October 6.
