Ambati Rayudu Snubs Ravindra Jadeja As He Names MS Dhoni’s Successor At CSK: Ravindra Jadeja was not mentioned by former Chennai Super Kings player Ambati Rayudu while discussing who he thought should captain the team in the IPL following MS Dhoni’s retirement. According to Ambati Rayudu, Ruturaj Gaikwad is most likely to be the team’s future captain.

Before the 2022 IPL, MS Dhoni, who has been captain of the Chennai-based team from the first edition, gave the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja. But after a run of defeats in the competition, the spin-bowling all-round player resigned as captain.

In the 2022 edition, Ravindra Jadeja captained the CSK squad for eight games, winning just two of them. In the middle of the competition, Dhoni assumed leadership of the squad. He then guided the team to a record-equalling title victory in the next season.

Ambati Rayudu stated on The Ranveer Show, a YouTube podcast, that Ruturaj Gaikwad ought to succeed Dhoni as the captain of CSK. But then he added, “But let’s see,” expressing some hesitation.
