Shoaib Malik’s Next Move is… After Suddenly Leaving T20 League: Shoaib Malik, the former skipper of the Pakistan cricket team, is expected to return to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after leaving the league suddenly due to’match-fixing’ rumors. Malik is anticipated to return to Fortune Barishal on February 2 and be eligible for the team’s Sylhet leg finale against Khulna Tigers on February 3, according to a report by ESPN Cricinfo.

Media sources had stated that Malik was being investigated for’match manipulation’ after he bowled three no-balls in one over in the Khulna Tigers encounter. He did, however, formally deny the rumors in a social media statement.

“I would like to address and dismiss the recent rumors circulating about my playing position with Fortune Barishal. I had a thorough discussion with our captain, Tamim Iqbal, and we mutually planned the way forward. And had to leave Bangladesh for a pre-committed media engagement in Dubai,” he posted.

“I extend my best wishes to Fortune Barishal for their upcoming matches. And if needed, I am available to support them if needs be.”
