Major Cricket League (MLC) 2023: Full List of Players, Squads, Teams: All You Need to Know
Major Cricket League (MLC) 2023: The inaugural Major Cricket League is officially conducted by US cricket. The latest global T20 franchise tournament will feature domestic cricketers from America alongside international T20 stars.
The Major Cricket League will kick off later in July, but the player draft was held on March 20 with six franchises battling for supremacy.
There will be six teams will participate in the event, four of which are either wholly or partially owned by the current IPL franchise.
Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings are the Indian investors. KKR owns the Los Angeles-based team, Mumbai takes charge of the New York-based franchise while Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, and DC have partnered to jointly own the Seattle Orcas team. CSK owners will co-own the Texas-based team.
After the first half of the Minor League Cricket (MiLC) season in July, the teams will have another opportunity to select a U-23 domestic player through a similar draft process.
With each team permitted to have a maximum of eight foreign players in its squad, international player signings will take place outside of the draft process. There can be 18 players in the squad at most.

Ranji Trophy: Virat Kohli Clean Bowled for 6 Runs- Watch Video
Virat Kohli Clean Bowled for 6 Runs: Virat Kohli put on another lackluster performance in red-ball cricket amid the chaos at the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the Delhi vs. Railways Ranji Trophy.
On the second day of the group encounter, Kohli scored his first boundary of the innings against Railways.
However, he was unable to read an inswinging delivery from Himanshu Sangwan, and the ball sent his off-stump cartwheeling. With a forceful straight shot for a four down the ground, Kohli appeared to have gained confidence. However, the stadium became silent when the next delivery arrived.

The corwd, that was so fierly in every single delivery Virat faced, coud not murmur a single word as the Indian stalwart departed after scoring just 6 runs off 15 balls.
Sangwan’s celebration of Virat’s wicket also confirmed how important the dismissal was for the Railways bowler.
The stadium was filled with excitement on Day 2 before the game began, as spectators waited impatiently for a Delhi wicket to fall so they could see their hero bat.

On Day 1, there was a lot of enthusiasm and buzzing in the Delhi stadium, which is unusual for domestic cricket matches. Fans were waiting for their hero, whose recent performances have been largely disappointing, to take action. More security was put in place, and some more gates were opened to let supporters in.
As per reports, over 15,000 fans attended the match on the opening day.

A fan also ran onto the pitch to greet Virat Kohli during the Group D match, breaking security. The individual got past security and reached Kohli, touching his feet as Delhi’s opening bowlers, Navdeep Saini and Siddhant Sharma, had Railways in trouble at 21/3.
