Actor Emraan Hashmai will be seen playing Suryakant Bhande Patil, a detective who has solved 120 child kidnapping cases for free in the upcoming movie Father’s Day.
Movie Father’s Day is a emotional drama will be based on the book Drishyam Adrishyam by Gujarati author Praful Shah.
Father’s Day will be directed by debutant Shantanu Baagchi, who has over 300 ad films to his credit.
Emraan took to Twitter and announced the film, he wrote excited to announce my film Father’s Day based on the life of Suryakant Bhande Patil, India’s top detective who has solved 120 child kidnapping cases for free.
Emraan Hashmi said that, Suryakantji’s story is very heartbreaking but greatly inspiring , it is rare to find a person who has dedicated his whole life to helping dins kidnapping children of others that too for free. I am extremely proud to be playing him in the film.”
Emraan Hashmi also expressed his extreme pride in recent reports wherein he has mentioned that it is an honour for him to play such an inspiring character from real life.
Shantanu spoke about the movie and revealed that it will have many elements wherein it will deeply move the audience and even change their perspective towards life.
Ritesh Shah will be written dialogues and screen play of Father’s Day, who also worked in Airlift and Pink. Produced by Emraan Hashmi, Priya Gupta, Kalpana Udyawar, movie is expected to be shot across Maharashtra . Emraan Hashmi is now busy with Cheat India and will go on floor for Father’s Day.
Co-producer Priya Gupta said that, Hindi cinema has rarely managed to tap into the subject of child safety and his one will be solely dedicated to the importance of it.
She also all praises for Suryakant who is even working with the team at the age of 55.
She mentioned that he is quite down to earth, warm but has those observation skills of a detective wherein he will scan person and will know many details about the person in just one glance.
