Reliance Jio announced a its quarterly report posting a profit of Rs 612 Crore in three months. Newbie telecom operator’s revenue stood at Rs 8,109 Crore and the Comapany had subscriber base of 215.3 million as for June 30.
Average revenue per user of Rs 134.5, this is the second consecutive dip in ARPU for the company, earned 154 per customer in the dec 2017 quarter and Rs 137.1 Crore in the Jan-March period.
Jio added 28.7 million new users in Q1 2018 compared to 26.5 million in the preceding 3 months, According to the RIL data.
The company says this is the highest user growth it has experienced since it started commercial operations in April 2017. The churn rate was 0.30 per cent, which the operator claims is the lowest in the industry.
Mukesh Amabani-led telco also reported that, strong video consumption on the network, an average user on Jio network consumed 15.4 of video consumption on the network.
Jio continue on its path to drive digital revolution in India, we doubled our customer base and most user metrics in the last 12 months. 215 million users within 22 months of start is a record that no technology company has been able to achieve everywhere in the world.
Company has not year revealed any sales result for the Jio Phone, except saying that the new Monsoon Hungama Offer has lowerd the upfront cost for buyers.
Surprise come as Jio has reported a decline in Average per User (ARPU) to Rs 134.5 from Rs 137 it reported int he previous 3 month. Airtel also reported a gross ARPU of Rs 105 during the last quarter , down from the earlier 3 months of Rs 116.
