Two days after the 19th years old girl died in a freak accident during a mock drill in private college in Coimbatore, five more people have took into the custody apart from Arumugam, the person who pretended to be a National Disaster Management Authority trainer.
NDMA caome out with tweet distancing itself from the training that was conducted at Kovai Kalaimagal College of arts and Science,
National Disaster Management Authority trainer in an official statement Said “it is unfortunate that this incident has happened and we have lost a young life. NDMA expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family . How ever the NDMA was not involved in this drill, trainer was not authorised by NDMA, and does not approve of such drills to be undertaken without adequate preparation and safety measures.”
The police already arrested the trainer , who claimed to be an NDMA personnel on Friday after the unfortunate death of 19th year old students , who passed way due to head injuries after being allegedly prodded to jump off the second floor of the her college building during a disaster management drill.
Second year students pursuing Bachelor of Business Administration course at Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and science at Narasipuram.
31st years old R Arumugam was not authorized by it to conduct the drill, the police later said, the documetns provided by Arumugam in support of his claim of being and NDMA authorized trainer were found to be fake and further investigation was on.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami said , he has directed the police and thehigher education department to take stringent action against those who organized the drill “without obtaining due approval” , also announced a solatium of Rs 5 lakh to the victim’ family.
After police tackle information from Arumugam Ashok and Damodar were nabbed, according to the sources, Ashok is close friend of Arumugam’s, was the mastermind that made the fake certificates . three other people Satish, Govindraj and Vinita were also using the fake certificate to conduct training drills.
