Political Career of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajapee has passed away at AIIMS hospital, the former PM was born on Dec 25, 1924 in Gwalior, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in 1939 and formed the BJP along with LK Adavani and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in 1980.

India lost a former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajapee after prolonged illness on Thursday. He remain active politically for almost six decades and went through several ups and downs.

He became the firs non-cogress external Affairs Minister in 1977

Bajpayee was as President of BJP (1980-86)

He failed to win Lok Sabha election from his home town Gwalior in 1984
