Harbhajan Singh suggests Leave out Kedar Jadhav and play Yuzvendra Chahal in 2nd ODI

India lost the ODI series opener against New Zealand by four wickets. As the side conceded a four-wicket loss in the first ODI in Hamilton.

Ross Taylor scored a century, while stand-in skipper Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls made valuable contributions to guide New Zealand to victory in the first game of the three-match series.

After the game, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who is one of the experts for broadcasters Star Sports, suggested a big change in the Indian playing XI for the second ODI in Auckland.

He said that Team India should play Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Sharma together in the upcoming ODI. According to him, Kiwi players can play fast bowlers quite easily irrespective of their stature.

The spinners will help their side in getting wickets in the middle overs. Hence, Virat Kohli and Co. can leave Kedhar Jadhav and play with an extra spinner in the upcoming ODI.

“I would like to see both spinners playing together – Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. This New Zealand team will play fast bowlers on any given day and they will take anyone on. But when it comes to playing spinners, it has always been a case for them,” Harbhajan Singh told Star Sports.

“You can get those wickets in the middle overs. So I would like to see both the spinners play together. Maybe leave out Kedar Jadhav and play an extra spinner.”
