Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma breaks Records with 121 runs Knocks Against Afghanistan: In the third T20I in Bengaluru, Rohit Sharma made his T20I comeback with a phenomenal showing against Afghanistan. At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Indian skipper was sizzling. The experienced opener led India’s scoring with an unbeaten 121 off 69 deliveries.

In his time at the wicket, the 36-year-old batsman hit a total of eight sixes and 11 fours. He now has the most centuries of any player in the T20 international format with five.

Rohit Sharma broke many records in Bengaluru during his innings against Afghanistan. As captain of the Indian team, he has now hit the most sixes in T20I.

He surpassed Aaron Finch and Eoin Morgan to reach the top spot on the record of captains with the most sixes in Twenty20 Internationals on Wednesday after smashing eight maximums against Afghanistan.

As captain of India, Rohit Sharma has amassed 90 sixes in 53 T20I, while Eoin Morgan, the captain of England, is currently batting at number two with 86 sixes.

Third on the list with 82 sixes is Australia’s T20 World Cup winning skipper Aaron Finch, while the fourth spot goes to Virat Kohli with 59 sixes. In only ten more sixes, Rohit Sharma will become the first hitter in T20 international history to reach 200 sixes.

In addition to surpassing Eoin Morgan’s global record, Rohit Sharma also tied records held by Babar Azam, who scored three T20I hundreds as captain, and MS Dhoni, who won 42 Twenty20 Internationals for India. His 1647 runs in 53 Twenty20 Internationals also give him the highest runs for India of any skipper.

With 1570 runs, Virat Kohli is the second-most-accomplished Indian skipper in T20Is. With just 26 runs remaining, Rohit Sharma may become the second Indian player to reach 4000 runs in Twenty20 Internationals, behind Virat Kohli.

In the dramatic Third T20I between India and Afghanistan, a second Super Over appeared to be the turning point. In Bengaluru, India opted to bat first and was reduced to 22/4 during the powerplay. However, skipper Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh later caused havoc at the M Chinnaswamy.

Together, they scored 190 runs for the fifth wicket, and in 20 overs, India reached 212/4. Afghanistan, in response, concluded at 212/6 thanks to half-centuries from Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaaz, and Gulbadin Naib.

Both teams were tied at 16 runs when the game reached the super over. Next his 11-run innings for India in the second super over, Rohit Sharma asked for Ravi Bishnoi to bowl in the next super over.

In the second and final super over, Bishnoi took two wickets to secure the victory for India by a margin of ten runs. In the third T20I, India easily defeated Afghanistan thanks to Rohit Sharma’s calculated risk of handing the ball to a spinner before a pacer.

India Champions responded by deliberately beginning their run chase. Even though Ambati Rayudu lost Robin Uthappa (10) early in the innings, his brilliant fifty off thirty balls laid the groundwork for the Men in Blue’s chase.

In the same over, Suresh Raina also left cheaply for four, aiding Pakistan’s recovery. However, Rayudu and Gurkeerat Singh Maan’s (34 off 33) solid combination kept India in the game.

Rayudu and Mann also departed in a space of 10 runs but the momentum stayed firmly in India’s favour with Yusuf Pathan’s blistering 30 off 16 balls before the latter was dismissed in the penultimate over.
