PL 2020: List of Players And Their Base Price for Auction

IPL 2020: The Indian Premier League 2020 auction is slated to take place on December 2019 in Kolkota. Australia pace spreadhead Mitchell Starc has opted out of the Indian Premier Leauge for a second successive year even as his teammates Glenn Maxwell and Chris Lynn are among seven players who have listed their names in the player’s auction to be held on December 19 in Kolkata.

While there is no official word from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sportstar understands that of the 19 capped Indian players who have listed for the auction. None of the theme has registered themselves for the top bracket of Rs. 2 crores.

However, the IPL 2020 auction, will be a final chance for all the franchise to evaluate their shortcomings and complete the side. Here’s a look at the base prices of a few marquee players who can add a fingerprint to any franchise.

after spending quite a few season at KKR, Uthappa was released by the franchise last month, along with spinner Piyush Chawla. Apart from the Uthappa, England’s captain Eoin Morgan, Chris Woakes, Jason Roy. And African Chris Morris are the names to have put a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

Twenty20 specialist Chris Lynn, Dale Stayn, top ranked Test bowler Pat Cummins and premier all-rounder Glenn Maxwell have all kept their base price at Rs 2 crore.

Josh Hazlewood and Angelo Mathews are the other players who have the same base price. The auction will be held in Kolkata on December 19, will be a small affair as the teams will only on filling the gaps. In 2021, the teams will have to go for a bigger auction where teams will be revamped. The franchise will shortlist the final list of players by December 9, based on which the final auction list will be announced.

Rs 2 crore base price: Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Dale Steyn and Angelo Mathews.

Rs 1.5 crore: Robin Uthappa, Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson, Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy, Chris Woakes, David Willey, Chris Morris, Kyle Abbott.
