WPL 2025 Full Schedule: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) will begins from February 14th. The defending champion, Royal Challenger Bangaluru, will face Gujarat Giants in the tournament’s first match at Kotambi Stadium in Baroda.

Baroda will host the league’s first leg, which will be the city’s first time hosting either the WPL or the IPL. Before the action shifts to Bengaluru, where six more matches will be played, six will take place at the recently built venue.

The third leg of the competition will thereafter be played in Lucknow, which will host four games at the Ekana Stadium—a first for the WPL. Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, home of the famed Cricket Club of India (CCI), will host the final two league stage games in addition to the elimination and championship game. March 15th is the date of the eagerly awaited conclusion.

The event’s rapid growth reaches a turning point with its third season. With games played at esteemed locations like the CCI and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the first season of 2023 was played exclusively in Mumbai and the surrounding areas.

Shreyas Iyer will Lead Punjab Kings in IPL 2025: Punjab Kings have named Shreyas Iyer as new skipper for IPL 2025. The announcement was made by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on the reality TV show.

However, Iyer, Shashank Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal were present on the sets of the show with Salman Khan to make it more exciting for the fans.

The 30-year-old expressed gratitude to the Punjab Kings management and vowed to repay the faith. “I am honoured that the team has reposed its faith in me. I am looking forward to working again with Coach Ponting. The team looks strong, with a great mix of potential and proven performers. I hope to repay the faith shown by the management to deliver our maiden title,” Iyer said.

In 2024, Shreyas Iyer was led Mumbai team and won Ranji and Irani trophy. In 2024 IPL, He was skipper of KKR in won the IPL title.

He was expected to be named Punjab Kings captain in IPL 2025 after being acquired for a staggering Rs 26.75 crore during the IPL Mega Auction in November last year.

“The auction has gone great. It probably couldn’t have gone much better, to be honest. It’s been a lot of work and a lot of team effort. The analysts have done a terrific job, providing me with much information on the local players. Obviously, I know a lot about the overseas guys,” Ponting said after the auction.
