After making his international cricket debut for India in 2016. Bumrah has been a formidable presence, exhibiting his bowling skills in a variety of forms.

The right-arm fast bowler has established himself as one of the most influential bowlers in the game with an astounding 397 wickets in 195 games.

During an interview with Vimal Kumar, Ashwin highlighted the respect Chennai have for bowlers and expressed his happiness at seeing Bumrah treated like a god in the city.

“The people in Chennai are fond of bowlers. Bumrah came to the city to attend an event a few days ago. We gave him a Rajni treatment. The bowlers are always treated nicely over here. I don’t want to name, but Jasprit Bumrah is the most valuable Indian cricketer right now,” Ashwin said.

Jasprit Bumrah won the coveted Player of the Series award after displaying his extraordinary skill by capturing 15 wickets for the Indian cricket team at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. His incredible performance was a major factor in Team India’s winning campaign.

Following his remarkable display in the global tournament, Bumrah was given a well-deserved rest from international assignments. However, he has now been called back to the India national cricket team for the upcoming first Test against Bangladesh.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Full Schedule: ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted by UAE after replacing Bangladesh as the host. Indian team are set to begin their quest for the Covest title with a clash against their New Zealand counterparts in Dubai on the 4th of Oct, before facing off against Pakistan in a highly-charged affair on the 6th at the same venue.

Indian women will remain in the UAE for another game against Sri Lanka on the 9th of the same month.

India women team will play one game at Sharjaha against Australia on the 13th Oct in their group match outside Dubai.

The six-time champion Australia is grouped in Group A with 2020 runners-up India, Trans-Tasman foe New Zealand, Asian teams Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and the event’s organizers, the same people.

Group B includes Bangladesh, Scotland, and the West Indies, the 2016 champions, South Africa, and England.

Each side will play four group matches at the tournament, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals on 17 and 18 October ahead of the Final in Dubai on 20 October. A reserve day has been fixed for both the semi-finals and the final.
