Shaheen Afridi in new Pepsi ad? Watch Pakistani pacer dropping major hint: Pepsi and cricket have been associated for the past 20 years, especially during the World Cup. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli, among others, have served as the faces of Pepsi advertisements.
Shaheen Afridi, a Pakistani pacer, appears to have been chosen by Pepsi as the brand ambassador for their 2023 World Cup campaign, defying the trend this year.
The Pakistani pacer was observed practicing a few lines for an advertisement shoot, and internet users speculate that it may have been for the next Pepsi commercial.
Shaheen was posing while wearing the Pakistani national team shirt. Seeing the viral video, one of the netizens commented, “Swag on the field, swag off the field. “Face of Pakistani cricket,” a different user commented. While someone else said, “Hero.”
Shaheen has been in several commercials, but if he were to appear for Pepsi, it would be the first time. There is currently no confirmed information on the left-handed bowler’s photo shoot serving as a Pepsi commercial.
In their first warm-up game against New Zealand, the Pakistani squad was defeated by five wickets. On October 3, Pakistan will play another exhibition match against Australia.
This will be the second edition of the World Cup that Shaheen will be part of after playing one in 2019. Pakistan begin their WC campaign against Netherlands on October 6.
