Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Take Part In ‘I For India’ To Raise Funds For India’s COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in over 2 lakh deaths in the world. The pandemic has put a halt to all the human activities and several governments have been forced to implement a lockdown in their respective countries.

It seems the world as a whole has gone into isolation and things keep worsening with days passing by. However, cricketers are doing their bit for the society and the Indian captain Virat Kohli is leading from the front.

As part of the initiative by ‘I For India’, actors, musicians, singers, sportspersons and business leaders came together to entertain people from their homes in a bid to help the COVID-19 pandemic cause.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma were the sportspersons to join the movement. The proceeds from the concert will go to the India COVID Response Fund set up by GiveIndia, a donation platform.

“Two weeks ago, we started work on India’s biggest concert. To entertain people who are locked-down at home. To pay tribute to those who work on the frontlines while we work from home. And to raise funds for those who have no work and no home,” said ‘IforIndia’ regarding the event.

Both Kohli and Rohit have been quite active on social media amid the lockdown. The two have shared many clips and photos with their respective families. Rohit has been active in sharing clips involving his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira. Kohli, meanwhile, has been active on social media by sharing videos involving his wife Anushka Sharma.
