Muralikrishna Prasidh Krishna replacement for injured Hardik Pandya: An ankle injury acquired during the match against Bangladesh has prevented Hardik Pandya from participating in the Cricket World Cup, which is a huge setback for Team India ahead of their match against South Africa. Muralikrishna Prasidh Krishna, a right-arm fast bowler has joined Team India in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Born in 1996, Prasidh Krishna is an Indian Premier League player for the Rajasthan Royals and a cricket player for the Karnataka state.

He is a fast bowler with a right arm who can often toss the ball above 145 mph. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in a One Day International on March 23, 2021, during India’s home series against England.
He broke the 24-year-old Indian record for most wickets in One Day International debut with four wickets taken in the match.

Prasidh made his debut for Karnataka in a first-class match, taking 5 for 49, despite the absence of all three of the team’s best speed bowlers during their 2015 tour of India.
On May 6, 2018, he made his IPL debut after taking Shivam Mavi’s place in the game against the Mumbai Indians due to injury.
In February 2022, the Indian Premier League super auction saw the Rajasthan Royals purchase him for ₹10 Cr.

Prasidh was included in the Indian squad for the ODI series against the West Indies in February 2022. After taking 4 wickets for 12 runs in the second game, he was named man of the match. In the third game, he won the Man of the Series title with a three-fer.

When the RCB players finished their celebration and shook hands with the CSK players, Dhoni, who hasn’t been totally fit the whole season, was in front of the line. But after a little period, Dhoni made the decision to head back to the dressing room.

Although it’s unclear if Dhoni and the RCB playing XI shook hands afterwards, the seasoned wicketkeeper batting decided to head back to the dressing room at that particular moment rather than waiting for the players of the other team.
In another video, it can be seen that Virat Kohli went after Dhoni to the dressing room, probably to shake hands with him after missing out on the same during their time on the field.

This year’s IPL Final and Qualifier 2 are slated to take place in Chepauk, home field of CSK. Fans have been anticipating to witness Dhoni and his squad raise the trophy in front of their home crowd on May 26 ever since this news was announced. Nevertheless, the unpredictable season resulted in the Chennai team not even qualifying for the postseason.

According to pundit and former CSK batsman Robin Uthappa, Dhoni will return to the Yellow uniform for the next IPL season.
In an interaction with JioCinema, Uthappa said, “I don’t think we have seen the last of MS. He is not someone who takes these things lightly. He will come back roaring for sure,” Uthappa said while speaking on JioCinema.
“Even with the narrative, I have seen him bat only in the last 4 or 5 overs, there is a reason for it. He had a calf injury which they initially thought perhaps was a niggle, but it was a little more grave than that. Because of that, he had to manage himself and often as he does, in international cricket and for CSK, he figured out a way to be useful and contribute to CSK,” the former CSK batter added.

Notably, Dhoni’s 25-run (off 13 balls) innings on Saturday gave CSK a chance to compete against RCB. Ultimately, CSK required 17 runs from the last over in order to go to the playoffs. As he has so often done in the past, MS Dhoni opened the over with a huge six to put rookie Yash Dayal under strain.
But the left-hander bounced back, dismissing Dhoni and adding a dot ball and a single in the next over. Then, CSK needed 10 runs in only two balls, but Yash Dayal’s slower deliveries were too much for a well-conditioned Ravindra Jadeja to handle.
