England beat India by 8 wickets to Clinch Series 2-1

England beat India by 8 wickets in 3rd ODI to clinch series 2-1 at the Headingly, Leeds on Tuesday. An unbeaten partnership 186 run between Joe Root (100*) and Eoin Morgan (88*) powered to England to an 8 wickets victory over India in the third ODI. The win ended India’s nine-match bilateral series winning runs as the England winning the toss elected to field first as the English bowlers attack to restrict the hosts to modest 256/8 in 50 overs. England reached the target in just 44.3 overs.


Joe Root and Eoin Morgan continued their Red Hot form with the Bat, Helping England Thrash India by 8 wickets in the third One day International to win the series 2-1.


Chasing a modest 257 to win the series , England opener Jonny Bairstow hit a flurry of boundary , racing away to 30 off just 12 before Shardul Thakur cut short innings.


A wickets at that stage would have surely put India on the top but Root and Eoin Morgan continue their fine form to deny the India team.


Chasing 257 runs was never going to be easy for the hosts and it proved even together after Jonny Bairstow scored a flurry of boundary to get England up and running.


Morgan and Root took time to understand the line the wrist spinners, and odd boundary was coming easily and slowly but surely they ensured that their team was winning the decider almost single handedly.


Root and Morgan remained unbeaten by stitching a partnership of 183 runs won the series for England. Specially against India must be more satisfying as they were put under the pump several times. England reached the target in 45th overs at the loss of just two wicket. Root reached his century (100*) on the last ball of the game.
