Mesut Ozil will no longer playing for Germany After racial abuse

Mesut Ozil said on Sunday , He will no longer playing international football after receiving much criticism for having his photograph taken with Turkish President.

Ozil on Twitter, released an official statement on twitter defending his stance over the pictures with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and it was not politics for him but about “respecting highest office of my family’s country”.

 

Ozil claims that , he has been victim of racist abuse since with picture with Turkish President. A statement in Twitter, the treatment , received from the DFB and many other makes me longer want to wear German International shirt.

I feel unwanted and think that what I have received since international debut in 2009 has been forgotten.

Mesut Ozil was the part of Germany squad at the World cup in Russia and fiercely criticised as they crashed out at the group stage.

German team boss Oliver Bierhoff suggested Ozil should have been dropped after his failure to clear up the Erdogan Meeting. Ozil mixed with German and Turkish heritage, defended his action in lengthy statement , issued in Social media account on Sunday.

First time he has addressed in a statement and saying that, he and his family received hate mail, threatening phone calls and social media abuse.

Arsenal midfielder’s social media accounts, Ozil said in the eyes of DFB president Reinhard Grindel and his supporter “I am German when we win, but I immigrant when I lose”. this is despite of paying taxes in Germany, donating facilities to German school and winning the world cup in 2014, I am still not accept in society.

People with racially discriminative backgrounds should not be allowed to work in the largest football federation in the world that has many players from dual heritage family. Attitude like their simply do not reflect the player they supposedly represent.
