World Cup 2019: England's new jersey 1992 Edition Inspired World Cup kit


England unveiled their new jersey for the ICC showpiece event on Tuesday but it got a lukewarm response fans on social media. The World Cup new jersey are light blue color and a throwback to the 1992 World Cup when Graham Gooch and his men had donned the same color.

Gearing up for another world Cup on their home soil, England are hot favorites to win the trophy. It looks like they are trying some colors of luck as well.

Kit makers have taken inspiration from 1992 edition of the 50 over cricket World Cup, last time when England made it to the final. Sky blue top has stripes in different shades of blue running across the shoulders with thin red lines in between.

Skipper Eoin Morgan along with teammates Adil Rashid and Jonney Bairstow unveiled the stunning retro style kit. England announced their final 2019 World Cup squad on Monday , included Jofra Archer in final 15.

Morgan said that his team can cope with the increased pressure of giving the nation its first ever 50 over World Cup. Morgan also sniped that the team is treating the tournament as Huge opportunity before stating that the players are looking to express themselves like the way they have down in the past four year, reported by Crictracker.

England had suffered a humiliating first round exit at he 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with Morgan made caption only shortly before the tournament in place of axed Test skipper Alastair Cook.

Englans has made changes three to the preliminary World Cup squad they had announced ahead of ODI against Ireland and Pakistan this month. Joe Denly has made place for all rounder , Liam Dawson and James Vince has been named the replacement for Alex Hales who was omitted from the team after failing a drugs test.

England is currently the best ODI team in the World Cup. last four years, they have twice set a new record for the highest total in an ODI inning, scoring 444/3 and 481/6 against Australia.
