GTA 6 Release Date Rumours, Map, Setting for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series Xbox when will Grand Theft Auto 6 be announced

GTA 6 Release Date: The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) is one of the most popular and anticipated games out there, despite the fact that developer Rockstar Games has not officially announced.

The popularity of GTA 5 and GTA Online is practically unmatched. And since it’s been over eight years since the game was originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3, we’re all clamoring for a new Grand Theft Auto.

Excitement over a game that hasn’t been officially unveiled might seem a little premature or optimistic but Grand Theft Auto 6 is more than a pipe dream.

It really does seem like a pretty safe bet that the game will eventually be announced.

A report from Kotaku claimed that a “new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series” was in the early stages of its development back in April 2020, leading to speculation that this could be GTA 6. However, given recent reports suggest the game could be looking at a 2024/5 release date, it’s probably going to be quite some time before we learn more.

According to Independent, the game was able to sell 32 million copies in the year of its release i.e. 2013. Additionally, the game has not seen a major slow down in its sales. GTA V’s sales reached over 155 million copies as of November 2021, according to GameSpot. Therefore, it is not surprising that the GTA franchise is one of the biggest in the industry.

When is the GTA 6 release date?

The latest reports that have come via analysts have predicted it could be with us as soon – and we use the word soon loosely – as April 2024, with that being the be the deadline they’re predicting.

A round-up of rumours and leaks, posted on YouTube by a chap named Tom Henderson, predicted that we could be waiting until 2025 for GTA 6 to release. Henderson himself admitted, though: “I’m not known for GTA 6 news, so take all this information with a grain of salt.”

What will the GTA 6 setting?

There have been several rumors about potential GTA 6 location spots, including heading back to Vice City or being set across the entirety of the US.

The latest rumors that arrived in June 2021 suggest that the GTA 6 setting will be a modern-day recreation of Vice City – a rumor that has been later corroborated by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.

In March 2021, Tom Henderson, a tipster with a great track record, stated that GTA 6 will be set in the modern-day. When asked by someone on Twitter, Henderson retweeted their question and simply said “It’s not set in the 1980s and is modern”.

Where will GTA 6 map be set?

This is an interesting one as there are various locations being suggested. And the word is that the game will span countries for the first time with some of the game taking place in Brazil.

Back in its American setting, the main location is said to be a modern-day Vice City. While Liberty City is set to feature but only in a mission or two and not as an open-world location. That’s all rumour, though, but we’ll be sure to share any firm GTA 6 map news that appears!

What platforms will GTA 6 be on?

We can predict with confidence that you will be able to play GTA 6 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. But it remains to be seen if PS4 and Xbox One players will be invited to the party as well.

We imagine a GTA 6 PC release will be on the way, too. But what is a mystery is whether GTA 6 will make the leap to the Nintendo Switch – GTA 5 hasn’t yet, even though the Definitive Edition trilogy bundle did, so it is by no means a guarantee.

GTA 6 Trailer?

The game has not been confirmed so there is no trailer for GTA 6 just yet, and that shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Hopefully, it will be announced soon.

Will there be a GTA 6 PC release?

At this stage GTA 6 will be a PS5 and Xbox Series X release, especially in light of the upcoming GTA 5 next-gen post for the console and PC. However, whether a GTA 6 PC port will be released at the same time as its console counterparts isn’t quite as straightforward.
