Lost Your Aadhaar Card: Today Aadhaar card is an essential document for Indian citizens. It is an identification proof in the country and is used to avail most of the services such as opening a bank account, getting a drivers’ license, and booking travel tickets.
Nowadays, every official dealing with the government a bank account to obtain benefits from social service initiatives to apply for a job.
If lost or misplaced your Aadhaar card and don’t know Aadhaar (UID), don’t worry you may still get your Aadhaar number online.
If you have lost your Aadhaar and also lost your enrolment slip, don’t worry. You can get your EID by calling UIDAI’s helpline 1947. You can also get your EID or Aadhaar number online.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the issuing body of the Aadhaar number, earlier provided the facility to download the e-version of the Aadhaar card, which you had to print yourself. However, now under the new facility, the printed Aadhaar card will come to your home
Here’s How to retrieve your Aadhaar card number online:
Go to the official website of UIDAI https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
Scroll down to the ‘Aadhaar Services’ section.
Now, click on the ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’ option.
Fill your personal details such as registered mobile number, name, and email id.
You will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter the OTP on the website.
Your requested UID/EID number will be sent to your mobile through SMS.
You can use the UID number to download your Aadhaar card online.
How to get Aadhaar Card e-Copy Online:
Aadhaar number will be e-Mailed to the phone number or email address you provided during registration.
You can print an e-copy of 12-digit Aadhaar number you receive.
You’ll need to go back to the UIDAI portal and select ‘Download Aadhaar’ from the ‘Get Aadhaar’ section. You can enter your Aadhar number and the appropriate Captcha information, and you will receive an OTP, identical to the previous process.
On the next page, tick the ‘Terms & Conditions’ checkbox and click’submit.’
It will ask you to choose between a registered and unregistered mobile phone number.
Once you’ve chosen the first option, you’ll be prompted to input your Aadhaar number as well as the Captcha code.
Payment is required to download your e-copy of Aadhaar. Your Aadhaar card will be delivered to you when you have made a successful payment.
