Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV Launched At Rs 12.99 Lakh: Check Details

Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV Launched At Rs 12.99 Lakh: Mahindra has formally unveiled the 5-door SUV, the Thar Roxx. One of the most eagerly awaited vehicle releases of 2024, it advances the plot four years following the August 15, 2020, unveiling of the new-generation Thar three-door SUV.

The Thar Roxx (yet to get used to the name) aims to draw potential customers with its robust appeal, enhanced practicality and a significantly longer list of features compared to the Thar 3-door.

The basic diesel model costs ₹ 13.99 lakh, while the base petrol model costs ₹ 12.99 lakh. Prices for the mid and top-spec variants will be revealed tomorrow.

It is clear that Mahindra has significantly altered the situation from what the public had anticipated. To make room for a bigger B-pillar, the rear quarter glass is triangular.

While it looks quite appalling on the hard-top trim, it could give the Thar Roxx a seductive silhouette when it plans to go topless.

The Thar Roxx has a sloping roof as well, which has drawn unfavorable comments online.

The design for the alloy wheel is fresh, as opposed to the three-door model. In addition, the circular rear wheel arches of the outgoing model are now replaced with squarish wheel arches.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Engine:

There are only a few days left till the Thar Roxx officially launches. However, it appears that Autocar India has obtained some official Thar documents that disclose the characteristics of the SUV.

They state that there will be two engine options available for the Mahindra Thar Roxx: a 2.0L turbo-petrol and a 2.2L turbo-diesel.

Two horsepower options for the gasoline are 160 and 170. The oil burner will also be offered in two power levels: 171 horsepower and 132 horsepower.

Additionally, there will be a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT gearbox option.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Off-Road Equipment:

The Thar 5-door version will have a more sophisticated suspension system than the 3-door variant that is already in production.

It will use FSD shock absorbers with a penta-link suspension system in the back, borrowed from Scorpio-N. It will also include a mechanically locking rear differential and an electrical brake-locking differential up front.

Additionally, a lever-operated low-ratio transfer case similar to the Thar 3-door will be included. Offroad crawl control and intelligent turn assist will be on the list.

The breakover angle is now 23.6 degrees, the approach angle is 41.3 degrees, and the departure angle is 36.1 degrees. It will also be 650 mm deep while wading in the water.

7 Reason to Don't Buy the iPhone 16

7 Reason to Dont Buy the iPhone 16: The American company Apple has recently launched its brand new device- iPhone 16 series in the market. iPhone 16 models come with many features, like A18 Pro chip, durable ceramic sheild glass, and more.

There are some missing features with the iPhone 16 to be sure. And we may discover more about the device.

Here are the reasons to buy the iPhone 16 series:

60Hz refresh rate remains:

Among the major phone manufacturers, Apple is still unique in that its flagship phones have long ago been fitted with fast-refreshing screens. Currently, premium phones almost always come with a faster refresh rate since it makes for better navigation and more engaging visuals.

But not so far as Apple is concerned. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus remain stuck at 60Hz.

No Front and Telephoto Camera:

Apple has not made any major camera improvements to the iPhone 16 Pro. The main and ultrawide shooters offer some improvement in image quality because of a newer sensor. The 12MP front TrueDepth camera and the 5x telephoto camera, however, are still the same.

The only “upgrade” is that the smaller iPhone 16 Pro now also packs a 5x telephoto camera, which was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Brightness:

By any measure, it is not an awful number. Additionally, the iPhone 15 demonstrated its brightness in our tests, measuring 1,401 nits on a light meter. If the iPhone 16 is any indication, the 6.1-inch screen ought to be exceptionally readable in bright sunshine.

Action Button:

On paper, the Action button, which debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro, appears helpful. Toggle the flashlight, launch third-party apps, initiate shortcuts, and more can all be done using the Action button customization. However, Apple made a significant mistake in the positioning of their product. It is excessively high, which makes it difficult to use on a daily basis.

Apple limited the Action button’s utility by keeping it in the same place with the iPhone 16 Pro series. The customisation and possibilities of the button are meaningless if it is difficult to access. This is an even bigger issue now since the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max sport larger displays, making them slightly taller than the iPhone 15 Pro series.

Apple Intelligence remains a work in progress:

Even while we have been thrilled by features like Photos Clean Up and some of the writing tools, as exciting as certain Apple Intelligence functions seem, Apple still has a lot of work ahead of it. You will not even be able to use Apple Intelligence if you immediately obtain an iPhone 16. The features won’t appear until October, and then, only as a beta.

It claims a notable improvement in CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine performance and is based on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm fab. In addition, Apple made a big deal out of Apple Intelligence when introducing the iPhone 16 Pro series.

Even with their massive capability, the new iPhones are not the only devices that have access to Apple Intelligence capabilities. Similar to the iPhone 15 Pro series, they handle most AI activities in the cloud and only execute a limited number of them on-device.

Hardware Upgrades:

The only yearly physical improvements seen in Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro series are a faster CPU, a larger display, and thinner bezels. This year’s sole significant addition is the capacitive Camera Control button. However, unless you use your iPhone to capture hundreds of images virtually every week, it will not make a big difference in your workflow.

Similarly, the larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens are welcome improvements but not a necessity today. Plus, Apple isn’t offering new multitasking options on the iPhone 16 Pro Max to take full advantage of its larger 6.9-inch display.

Outlook:

Even while the improvements the iPhone 16 does bring appear well-considered, the phone lineup does not undergo any significant adjustments as a result of it. The new model promises to be an even better phone for those who want to upgrade, with a more advanced camera configuration. Even before we get an opportunity to complete our testing for the iPhone 16, we are confident in that.
