Patanjali’s Kimbho App back as Bolo Messenger, Says not official app

In the last moth Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali communications introduced a swadeshi messaging application called Kimbho App. The Main idea behind the app was to take on Facebook owned messaging app WhatsApp. After launch the Kimbho app removed from the Google’s store and Apple’s store due to security reasons within 24 hours. French security researcher , Elliot Alderson on twitter “went to say that the Kimbho app is nothing but a Joke”, after month Kimbho app is back on Play Store again. This time Kimbho app called as Bolo Messenger.

 

According to the report, the Kimbho developer , deshi rival to whatsApp, has silently updated the application to bolo Messenger. SK Tijarawala, spokeperson of Patanjali Yogpeeth, confirmed that this app was not the official rebranding of Kimbho app and the a new version o Kimbho was still in the works.

 

 

An Updated version of Bolo Messanger app was released on Google Play store on July 13. App first released on 28th of May and page mentioned the Aditi Kamal as the developer. Note that Kamal also claims herself to be the founder of Kimbho app.

 

Bolo App, comes with new logo and interface, the new app also address the security concern as it has end to end encryption just like WhatsApp and Facebook Messanger. Interface of the Bolo app has similar to WhatsApp. when opening the app , will see three tabs with your chats , contacts activity.

 

Icon below which takes you to your contact list for new chat as seen on WhatsApp. It has feature like emoji, Voice Messages along with voice and Video Calling.
