Google Pixel 6a to launch in India on July 21

Google Pixel 6a to launch in India: Google Pixel 6a will launch on July 21 on Thursday in India. The affordable version of the Google Pixel 6 was announced at the Google I/O earlier this year.

However, Google has skipped the launch of several Pixel devices after the Pixel 4a, Pixel 6a is more likely to arrive in India.

As per reports, Google has not yet revealed the launch date but has shown up on some shopping websites.

Tipster Sahil Karoul, who previously claimed to know the price of the Pixel 6a in India, has now shared when it will arrive in India. He said the launch will happen on Thursday, but Google has not said a word yet.

The box price will be Rs 43,999. To put this in perspective, the Pixel 6a costs $449 in the US. This figure translates to roughly Rs 35,900. The Pixel 4a, which is more than two years old, was launched at Rs 31,999, while it sold at an introductory price of Rs 29,999 for a few initial weeks.

Even if Rs 37,999 is what tipsters are unanimously speculating the price would be, it is a big premium but not an unreasonable one. The Pixel 6a comes two years after the Pixel 4a, leaving the pandemic behind itself. The logistical issues and global components shortage marred the smartphone manufacturing industry at large. To overcome the issues and streamline the business, smartphone prices have gone up significantly over the past few months.

Google launched the Pixel 6a back in May for select markets, such as the US and Canadạ. The pre-orders will begin on July 21 in the first-wave countries, but it seems that will coincide with the launch in India.

The Google Pixel 6a comes with a 6.1-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The display has a punch-hole in the centre, housing an 8-megapixel front camera. On the back, there is a combination of a 12.2-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera.

The Pixel 6a is powered by Google’s own Tensor chip, which debuted on the Pixel 6 last year.
