YouTube Music starts rolling out Discover Mix Playlist

According to 9to5 Google, the new feature called Discover Mix seeks to compete against Spotify’s Discover Weekly and Apple Music’s New Music Daily feature.

Discover Mix playlist can be seen one supplementing the Released playlist that was also recently introduced in YouTube Music. The company offers a 49 new song collection that’s tuned to your liking and updated on a weekly basis.

Reddit suggests the Discover Mix includes undiscovered tracks from artists that users are already familiar with, along with a few new artists. Some from genres that have not been explored before by the listener.

The new playlist feature follows last month’s launch of Google’s New Release Mix to YouTube music, which features the hottest 50 sons.

The company recently announced the YouTube Charts feature in India to display India-specific lists of trending songs, artist, music videos in one place.

Discover Mix is yet to be widely rolled out but, early users reveal that feature-focused mostly on evergreen tunes and artists a user might not have heard before.
