Along with KL Rahul rejoining the team, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel has got his first call-up. The cycle of the ICC 2023–25 World Test championship includes these test matches.

Middle-order hitters for the series will include Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Dhruv Jurel.
