WPL 2024 Sold & Unsold Players Full List: The Women’s Premier League 2024 auction has commenced, with five teams attempting to acquire a maximum of thirty players between them.

Five players have already been selected thus far. Phoebe Litchfield was acquired by the Gujarat Giants for Rs. 1 crore, and Annabel Sutherland was purchased by the Delhi Capitals for Rs. 2 crore. Those are the two highest bids so far.

The Gujarat Giants, who had the lowest point total from the previous season and had released the greatest players before to the auction, were in the most need of strengthening their roster.

The Giants need ten players, but teams like the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz just needed five.

Following the IPL 2024 auction, clubs have refined their rosters. A historic event occurred when Australia’s Mitchell Starc, acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs24.75 crore, becoming the most expensive player in the tournament’s history. In addition, there was a noticeable 57% increase in viewership for the IPL 2024 sale over the previous auction.

According to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, the IPL auction attracted a significant 22.8 million viewers, exceeding the numbers from the 2022 sale. MS Dhoni is guiding the Chennai Super Kings, the five-time winners, as they prepare to defend their crown.

Now, it takes one hour and five minutes. So, it is a bit boring sitting on a chair and just waiting, but I am doing it because my fans have loved my new hairstyle.”

“So, I will try to keep it for some time. However, it is very tough to maintain it. I will try to keep it this way as long as I can. But it is possible that one day I wake up and decide it’s enough; I’ll cut it down,” he added.
