It is a little over ten years since the last Grand Theft Auto game, Grand Theft Auto V, although it is not too early. The trailer, which is set in the fictitious Miami-based metropolis of Vice City, follows Lucia, the first female protagonist in the Grand Theft Auto series, and an unidentified male lead named Jason in a story of crime and love that seems to have been influenced by the real-life criminal pair Bonnie and Clyde.

The trailer begins with introducing Lucia, who seems to be in prison at the beginning. When asked why she’s locked up, she simply replies, “Bad luck, I guess.”

The film then shows us a beach with lots of people and wildlife, including dolphins and seagulls. That’s not all; flamingos and alligators also exist. We also see someone operating an airboat and what looks to be the marshy Everglades. In typical GTA fashion, there is a quick shot of a strip club and crowded streets covered in graffiti.

Then, the trailer introduces us to the male protagonist, Jason. And then we see Lucia towards the end of the trailer, saying, “The only way we are going to get through this is by sticking together. Being a team.” She then asks her partner in crime, Jason, “Trust?” and he replies, “Trust.”

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was posted on X (previously Twitter) by an account that has since been suspended, only one day before it was supposed to be released. Originally scheduled to debut on Tuesday, December 5th at 9 AM ET, Rockstar swiftly replied by making the complete video available on its own YouTube account.

The availability of Grand Theft Auto 6 on Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X and Series S systems has been confirmed by Take-Two. The fact that no other platforms have been mentioned in relation to the game’s release raises the possibility that it won’t be accessible on PC at first. The original PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) and its follow-up, GTA V (2013), did not come out on the PC.
