WhatsApp New Feature Group Audio and Video calling rolling out for Android, iOS

WhatsApp feature Group audio and Video call have been rolled out for Android and iOS users. Group calls will be end to end encrypted. Facebook owned said in a blog, Group calling has been designed to reliably around the world in different network conditions.


WhatsApp has been in the works for a very long time, Amid a lot of reports, Facebook cleared the air over the feature at its annual F8 conference is May and soon after the announcement. The feature was spied on Android and iOS beta updates.


Over the last couple years , people have enjoyed making voice and video calls on WhatsApp. Users sepend over 2 billion minutes on calls per day.


User can make Group Audio and video call with up to four people in total, to make a group call, you need to first start a voice or video call with one person. To add people to call, just tap the new add participant button in the top right corner.


The WhatsApp group call is available for both iOS and Android OS, the rollout of stable version began from July 30.


WhatsApp group video and audio call feature are much anticipated and were previously spotted in Android beta version 2.18.189 and v2.18.192. Audio and video group call allow for adding a total up to four participants. This means a user can add three contacts, including the user.


WhatsApp has 1.5 billion monthly active users and the company says that users spend more than 2 billion minutes on WhatsApp calls per day.


If you are an iOS user with a large group of friends or family over WhatsApp group calls as the former allows you to add up to 32 people whereas with WhatsApp you can add up to four people.
