Tajinderpal Singh Toor won Gold medal in Men's shot put

Tajinderpal Singh Toor become the First gold medallist in the track of field events at 2018 Asian Games. As he won the men’s shotput gold with a record of 20.75m in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.

Tajinder Pal Toor broke the Games record in his fifth attempt with a throw of 10.75 , which is also the National Record.

Tajinderpal Singh Toor, 23 year old is also Aisa’s highest ranked shot putter and produced an inspired throw of 19.96 in his very first attempt and then followed it up with a throw of 19.15.

Earlier, on Day 7, Squash players Dipika Pallikal, Joshana Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal won bronze in the Woman;s and Men;s single semifinals event.

Deepika lost her woman’s singles semi final 0-3 Nicol david of Malaysia. Joshna Chinappa added another squash bronze to the Indian tally.
31 year old player, lost 1-3, to 19 year old Sivasangari Subramaniam of Malaysia.

Ghosal lost to Chung Ming Au of Hong Kong China 12-10, 13-11, 6-11, 6-11,6-11 in the men’s singles semifinals. Ghosal had won a silver in the men’s singles in the 2014 Asian Games.

Tajinderpal Singh Toor had a very disappointing Commonwealth Games 2018 as he finished seventh in the competition but he put that behind to come the Asian Champion.

Tajinderpal Toor had won silver at the Asian Championships held in Bhubaneswar back in 2017 held in Gold in Australia.
