West Indies beat Bangladesh in 2nd ODI, Level three match series at 1-1

The victory has helped West Indies to level three match series at Guyana on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’ final at Warner Park, Basseterre. Hetmyer’s second ODI hundred helped West Indies recover from a top order shortfall and post 271. Hetmyer showed composure in pilling on 103 run fifth wicket stand with Rovman Powell after Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle and Shai Hope has not provide a good start.

 

Shimron Hetmyer’s 93-ball 125 runs helped Host West Indies to set a good target of 272 runs, while Rovman Powell’s steady 44 form 67 balls also helped to scored.

 

in the last over Bangladesh required 7 to win, but J Hoder took wicket of informer batsman Mushfiqur Rahim (68) with he first ball. and only four runs collected from the remaining five balls as the West indies took the three run win in Providence,

 

in reply Bangladesh team , Tamim Iqbal scored fifties, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim meant Bangladesh were on course. due to dew, its was difficult to grip the ball, in the 48th overs Holder conceded 13. however Keemo Paul took a wicket in the last ball of 49th overs. and in the final overs Holder just gave four runs in his next five balls.

 

West Indies’e men got off to a cautious start , adding just 34 in the Power-play. with none of the top order building on their starts and the going slow, in the fifth wicket partnership 103 with Rovman Powell was crucial.

 

 

Rahim seemed set to pull victory , getting to 68 of 67 before Holder’s heroics, it was Hetmyer who had given the Windies something to bowl at, backing up his fifty in the previous match with century.
