Apple rolls out iOS 12.4.1, watchOS 5.3.1 and macOS Mojave 10.14.6 software update

Apple today released tvOS 12.4.1, watchOS 5.3.1 and macOS Mojave 10.14.6 for its Apple TV, Apple Watch and Mac Devices. The latest iOS update is 101MB in size and Apple WatchOS update is about 55MB.

iOS 12.4.1 is now rolling out, this is a smaller update that Apple says provides important security and stability updates. You can update it by going into Setting>General>Software update on iOS devices.

in iOS 12.4.1 update is meant to fix vulnerability that allowed users to jailbreak iOS 12.4. That vulnerability was patched in iOS 12.3 but somehow unpatched in iOS 12.4.

The company says, A use after issue was addressed with improvement memory management.

Three new updates are minor in scale and focus on bug fixes and performance improvements rather than outward-facing features. Several issue fixed in macOS

  • Resolves an issue that may cause certain Mac notebooks to shut down during sleep
  • Fixes an issue that may degrade performance when working with very large files
  • Addresses an issue that may prevent Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iMovie, and GarageBand from updating

Apple also released WatchOS 5.3.1, Apple says, provide important security updates. You can install it by launching the Watch app on your iPhone and the going into General and then tapping Software Update.
