HMD Global start Rolling out Android 9 Pie stable update for Nokia 6.1

HMD Global has started rolling out Android 9 Pie stable update for Nokia 6.1. Juho Sarvikas Announced in Twitter Pie Update for Nokia 6.1, Making it the second Nokia device after the Nokia 7 Plus to receive the stable update.

Earlier this month, Nokia 7 Plus was first to get Pie last month and the Nokia 6.1 Plus is currently on Android 9 Pie Beta. Company also plans to keeping its promise and will likely roll out the stable pie update for the Nokia 6.1 Plus as well in the next 25 hours.

HMD had announced that while 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus would be receiving Android 9.0 Pie stable this month itself. The Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco are expected to get it sometime next month.

Users can get in Android 9 Pie features like Adaptive Battery, Slice, redesigned system Navigation gesture and many more. Nokia 6.1 users also get exclusive access to App Actions that offer predictions and display the expected next action in the UI.

Nokia 6.1 users will start seeing the OTA update hit their devices right now. And it will update rolling out in a phased manner so some users may get the update over the next few days.

Digital Wellbeing is currently available on Beta preview for Android One devices running Pie.
