Samsung may launch Galaxy On8 could be Price around Rs 18,000

Samsung India will launch Galaxy On8 (2018) with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage and dual rear camera setup this week in India for roughly Rs 18,000. The new Galaxy On8 model will be sport a 6 inch HD Super AMOLED display on e-commerce major Flipkart, industry sources told IANS on Monday.


Before Samsung announces the most anticipated device of the year, the Galaxy Note 9 , on August 9. Samsung Note 9, On 9 , The company has plans to launch a new mid-range smartphone in the Indian Market. the new device is expected to be the Galaxy On8 2018 variant.



According to the reports, the upcoming On8 will an online exclusive product and sell exclusively on Flipkart. The On8 is said to pack similar spaces as the J8 apart from some difference in the RAM and storage department.


The smartphone would feature Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core processor, the source added.


IANS report noted that the upcoming Galaxy ON8 will be company’s second online exclusive smartphone after the Galaxy On6 that made its debut earlier this month. The handset was the first to flaunt Infinity Display in Samsung’s mid range segment.


The Samsung India has sold over 20 lakh units of its recently launched Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J6 mid segment smartphone in the country.


According to the company, it sold 50,000 units of Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 each day. The smartphone to be around Rs 1,000 cheaper than the Galaxy J8, which currently sells for Rs 19,000. This means, the Galaxy On8 may cost around Rs 18,000. Samsung is yet to reveal the official pricing details of the Galaxy On8 2018.


Considering the competitive price tag of the Galaxy On8 (2018), if that is the price the phone will be launching for, the smartphone will go against devices like the Xiaomi REdmi Note 5 Pro, the Oppo F7, the Vivo V9 and Nokia 6.1.
